It’s Summer Reading time again! The Summer Reading programs at the Moline Public Library begin on Saturday, June 5 and run through Saturday, July 31. There are reading programs for all ages. Please see below to register for your program and to access or print any documents needed to log your summer reading.

Children’s Summer Reading Club

Reading Colors Your World - ChildrensKids, pick a daily reading goal and help the Crayons get back to their crayon box everyday you reach your goal! Oh, and you can earn prizes for reading too! Kids in the Summer Reading Club can earn two sets of prizes this summer. Halfway prizes are earned when a child has met their reading goal for 15 days. Kids earn their final prize by meeting their reading goal for 30 days. To claim your prizes you will need to fill out the online Prize Pickup Form*. Once your have completed the summer reading log stop by the Children's Desk or go to our website to enter our raffles.

*To claim your prizes you will need to fill out the online Prize Pickup Form. The form only needs to be completed once to claim your prizes. Halfway prizes can be picked up starting Monday, June 21. Final prizes can be picked up starting Tuesday, July 6. All prizes must be picked up by Saturday, August 7.

Teen Summer Reading Program

The links to print out the handout, activity log, and prize slips are below as well. Book reviews can be turned in at the Library or online here. Book reviews and photos can also be emailed to or shared with molinelibraryteens@gmail.com.

Collect points by completing various activities throughout the summer. When you have at least 1000 points, you can get the halfway prize, and at 2000 points the finishing prize. Keep going all summer long to get entries into the prize drawing for every extra 500 points you earn.

Use the Activity Log to keep track of your points. Fill out the prize slips and return them to the Library to get your prizes and entries into the drawing. The halfway prize will be available starting June 21 and the finishing prize will be available starting July 6. Prize drawing slips may be turned in anytime after you turn in your finishing prize slip.

All prize slips and book reviews must be turned in by Saturday, August 7 to receive prizes and entries into the drawing.

Adult Summer Reading Program

Adults can participate in Summer Reading too and it is simpler than ever! Just click the link below to register, then read as much as you want this summer. That’s it!

All registered participants will be eligible to choose a free book from the cart at the 2nd floor Information Desk (while supplies last) and will automatically be entered into our Summer Reading prize drawings!
